What We Believe

What We Believe

The absolute authority of the Bible God’s Word.

We believe that men inspired by the Holy Spirit were led to write the very words of Scripture. The whole Bible as it was written in the original manuscripts is without error. It is our infallible guide for faith and practice. II Tim. 3:16, II Peter 1:20-21

The Triune nature of the Godhead. God exists eternally in three persons - The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit. These three are one God, having the exact same nature, attributes and  perfections, and are worthy of the same worship and obedience. I Corinthians 8:6 , John 17: 21,23, John 16:14-15

The Virgin birth of Jesus Christ. He was made flesh when He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born to the virgin Mary. He is both fully God and fully man. Isaiah 7:14, Matt.1:23

Salvation only through Jesus Christ. Man has eternal life only through faith in Jesus Christ. We believe that He died in our place for the removal of our sins, that he rose from the dead, and that His sacrifice is the redemptive price for our souls.

Romans 6:23, 2 Cor. 5:21, Heb. 8:12.

The assurance of salvation. All true believers are saved for eternity.   John 10:25-30

The Church, is made up of all who put their faith in Christ. He is the head of the church, The Holy Spirit baptizes all believers into this Body of Christ at the moment of their salvation. The members of this one spiritual body are  directed to fellowship together in local assemblies. Two ordinances are performed by the church; Baptism and the Lords Supper.

Matt. 16:18, 1 Cor.12:14-24, Eph 4:15

Biblical Leadership - The church leadership is organized around the headship of Jesus Christ and the model of leadership He taught to His disciples. Leadership and order developed by the apostles based in servanthood. Matt. 20:25-28, Mark 10:45, Luke 19:10, I Timothy 3 , Titus 1:5-9, 2:3-9

The blessed hope of Christ’s return for the church. The coming of the Lord Jesus Christ in the air to receive to Himself all who are alive and those who have fallen asleep in Jesus. The rapture will be followed by the tribulation, the second coming of Christ, the millennial kingdom, and the eternal state. As found in the prophetic books of the Bible. I Thess.1:10, 4:13-18, Rev.20-21
